While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

'Hamas reaffirms commitment to ceasefire talks despite US envoy’s remarks

Friday 25-July-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The 'Hamas Movement has reaffirmed its keenness to continue negotiations and engage in them in a manner that helps overcome obstacles and leads to a permanent ceasefire agreement.

In a statement on Friday, 'Hamas expressed its “surprise” over the remarks of the US envoy, Steve Witkoff, stressing that its engagement in the diplomatic process was aimed at reaching a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.

“The Movement has acted with a sense of national responsibility and flexibility throughout the negotiations,” 'Hamas said, noting that it submitted its response to the mediators after consulting with Palestinian factions and regional partners.

'Hamas said that the mediators expressed “satisfaction with its constructive and positive position over the ceasefire proposal, which opens the door to reaching a comprehensive agreement.”

'Hamas asserted that it dealt positively with the comments and proposals it received from the mediators, including those from Egypt, Qatar and the US administration, adding that it remains open to further negotiations and committed to working within the established mediation framework.

Witkoff said Thursday that the United States will seek “alternative options” for a ceasefire in Gaza and the US negotiating team is returning home from Qatar for consultations upon Hamas’ latest response.”

“We have decided to bring our team home from Doha for consultations after the latest response from Hamas, which clearly shows a lack of desire to reach a ceasefire in Gaza,” he wrote on the social platform X.

For its part, the Islamic Jihad Movement said the response that was submitted by Hamas and other resistance factions to the Qatari and Egyptian mediators was welcomed by the mediators, who considered it a “gateway to reaching an agreement to halt the aggression and end the suffering of our people.”

“US envoy Steve Witkoff’s remarks have reflected the (Israeli) occupation government’s position and revealed premeditated intents to perpetuate the aggression and undermine the mediators’ efforts,” Islamic Jihad said in a statement on Friday.

The Movement affirmed its commitment to supporting the mediators’ efforts and achieving an agreement that serves the interests of the Palestinian people and puts an end to Israel’s crimes against them.

122 Palestinians, including 83 children, starved to death in Gaza under Israeli siege

Friday 25-July-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The death toll from starvation in Gaza has risen to 122, including 83 children, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, as the humanitarian crisis deepens under the ongoing Israeli siege.

Nine more Palestinians died of starvation and malnutrition in the past 24 hours, the ministry reported Friday. Government officials described the situation as a “systematic crime of starvation” perpetrated by the Israeli occupation army against more than 2.4 million besieged civilians over the past 145 days.

The Gaza Government Media Office (GMO) called for an immediate end to the famine and demanded the urgent entry of humanitarian aid, including baby formula, 500 aid trucks, and 50 fuel trucks daily, to prevent further loss of life.

The GMO urged the international community to form an independent commission to investigate Israel’s use of starvation as a weapon and prosecute those responsible.

Amnesty International reiterated its accusation that Israel is using starvation as a tool of genocide. In a statement, the organization said Israel is deliberately starving Palestinians and obstructing aid, turning humanitarian assistance into a weapon of war.

The World Health Organization also warned of a potential surge in deaths. WHO regional director 'Hanan Balkhi told Al Jazeera that nearly 2.1 million people in Gaza are facing starvation. She added that 20% of pregnant women are suffering from hunger, and there are no fully functioning hospitals left in the Strip.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel, backed by the US, has waged a genocidal war on Gaza, killing or wounding over 203,000 Palestinians, displacing hundreds of thousands, and leaving more than 11,000 missing.

MSF: 1 in 4 young children and pregnant women in its clinics in Gaza are malnourished

GENEVA, July 25, 2025 (WAFA) -

Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) said today that Israeli authorities’ deliberate use of starvation as a weapon in Gaza has reached unprecedented levels, with patients and health care workers themselves now fighting to survive.

“MSF staff are receiving an increasing number of malnourished patients at its clinics, while they themselves struggle to find sufficient food. Across screenings at MSF facilities last week, 25 percent of children aged 6 months to 5 years old and pregnant or breastfeeding women were malnourished. At the MSF clinic in Gaza City, the number of people enrolled for malnutrition has quadrupled since May 18, while rates of severe malnutrition in children under 5 have tripled in the last two weeks alone,” said MSF in a statement.

“These food distributions are not humanitarian aid, they are war crimes committed in broad daylight and presented to the world with compassionate language,” said Mu'hammed Abu Mughaiseeb, MSF deputy medical coordinator in Gaza. “Those who go to the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation's food distributions know that they have the same chance of receiving a sack of flour as they do of leaving with a bullet in their head.”

“We see the dire consequences of these shortages in Gaza on a daily basis in our clinic,” says Caroline Willemen, project coordinator at the MSF clinic in Gaza City. “We are now enrolling 25 new patients every single day for malnutrition. We see the exhaustion and the hunger in our own colleagues. Meanwhile, hundreds of people seeking desperately needed aid continue to be attacked by Israeli forces and private security contractors at food distribution sites run by the Israeli proxy, the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF).”

“What we are seeing is unconscionable; an entire population being deliberately cut off from food and water, all while the Israeli forces commit daily massacres as people scramble for scraps of food at distribution sites,” says Amande Bazerolle, MSF head of emergency response in Gaza. “Any shred of humanity in Gaza has been wiped out in the ongoing genocide.”

In the last two months, more than 1,000 people have been killed and over 7,200 injured, according to the Ministry of Health, as they attempted to collect aid, including a large proportion at the distribution sites of the GHF, which is backed and funded by the US government.

“In addition to people wounded at GHF sites, our teams have treated dozens of patients from recurrent massacres by Israeli forces as people wait for flour from trucks that pass by,” said the statement.

“In the emergency room of Al-Shaikh Radhwan clinic a few days ago, dozens of patients came in, both dead and wounded,” says Willeman. “These were people who had approached trucks for flour and were shot by Israeli forces.”

“To make matters worse, in the last week, community kitchens that provide food to patients and medical staff in hospitals have struggled to do so, some shutting down for days at a time. Even if they can deliver, it is only one meal a day of plain rice for patients who need nutrient-rich food to heal properly, and often nothing for staff. This is no longer about what people can afford. There is barely any food available throughout most of the Strip,” read the statement.

UN Guterres says Gaza is a moral crisis that challenges the global conscience

NEW YORK, July 25 (WAFA) -

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Friday warned that the crisis in the Gaza Strip has escalated beyond humanitarian dimensions, calling it "a moral crisis that challenges the global conscience."

"Powerful forces are ranged against human rights—and against the international system built to protect and uphold them," Guterres said in a virtual address to Amnesty International's Global Assembly, as reported by Anadolu Ajansı.

He denounced ongoing violations of international law, including "the relentless Israeli onslaught on Gaza," and stressed that "nothing can justify the explosion of death and destruction" since Oct. 7.

"The scale and scope are beyond anything we have seen in recent times," he said, adding: "I cannot explain the level of indifference and inaction we see by too many in the international community. The lack of compassion. The lack of truth. The lack of humanity."

Guterres also described the suffering of UN staff on the ground, saying: "Many are so numb and depleted that they say they feel neither dead nor alive," while children "speak of wanting to go to heaven because, at least, they say, there is food there."

"This is not just a humanitarian crisis. It is a moral crisis that challenges the global conscience," he said.

He urged an immediate and permanent ceasefire, the unconditional release of all hostages, and unimpeded humanitarian access.

"Since May 27, the United Nations has recorded over 1,000 Palestinians killed trying to access food," he said.

Albanese: Gaza faces “most horrific” form of genocide as world remains silent

Friday 25-July-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in the Palestinian Territories, Francesca Albanese, has declared that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza “in its most horrific form.”

Speaking amid growing international concern, Albanese emphasized that there can be no peace in the Middle East without justice and accountability, both of which remain absent as the assault on Gaza continues.

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese also weighed in, describing the situation in Gaza as a “humanitarian disaster.” In a statement issued Friday, he called for urgent action to end the suffering of civilians, affirming that “every effort must be made to protect innocent lives and end the hunger.”

He condemned Israel’s ongoing blockade, saying, “Israel’s prevention of aid and killing of civilians, including children seeking water and food, cannot be ignored or defended.”

Since October 7, 2023, Israel has waged a US-backed war of genocide against Gaza. The war has resulted in over 203,000 Palestinians martyred or wounded, most of them women and children. Over 9,000 remain missing, while a deadly famine has taken hold and hundreds of thousands have been forcibly displaced.

PGMO: No aid trucks entered the Gaza Strip, and the famine is worsening

Friday 25-July-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The Palestinian Government Media Office (PGMO) in Gaza called on Thursday night on all countries around the world to immediately break the siege on Gaza, open the crossings permanently, and bring in infant formula and aid, especially flour, for more than 2.4 million people under siege in the Strip.

The Office confirmed that as of 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, no aid trucks had entered the Gaza Strip, and that the famine is growing more severe, more dangerous, and more widespread across all governorates.

It added, “This comes in conjunction with the complete closure of all crossings by the Israeli occupation army for 145 consecutive days, and the prevention of the entry of infant formula and humanitarian aid.”

The PGMO explained that the Strip is in urgent need of no less than 500,000 bags of flour per week to avoid a total humanitarian collapse.

The PGMO also urged media outlets and journalists to ensure accuracy in reporting and to rely on official sources.

Gaza: Hospitals receive 89 martyrs, death toll climbs to 59,676

Friday 25-July-2025

GAZA, (PIC, WAFA)

During the past 24 hours, hospitals in the Gaza Strip received the bodies of at least 89 civilians, as well as 467 people suffering from different injuries following Israeli attacks, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza, on Friday morning.

Accordingly, a total of 8,527 people have been killed and 31,924 others have been injured since the Israeli occupation army resumed its genocidal war on Gaza on March 18, 2025.

The new fatalities increased the death toll from the Israeli genocidal war on Gaza, which started on October 7, 2023, to 59,676 martyrs, including 1,092 aid seekers who were killed at or near US-backed distribution points, the health ministry said.

The Ministry added that the total number of the wounded also surged to 143,965 people, including 7,320 aid seekers.

Meanwhile, efforts are underway to recover the bodies of more martyrs who are still missing in different areas of the Gaza Strip.

Dozens of Palestinians in Gaza killed, injured in relentless Israeli attacks

Friday 25-July-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The Israeli occupation army continued, last night and today, Friday, to carry out deadly attacks on different areas of the Gaza Strip, killing and injuring dozens of civilians.

According to local media sources, Israeli forces also continued today to detonate and bomb more homes and displace families in the Gaza Strip, further deepening the dire humanitarian crisis as the population grapples with worsening famine.

According to the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) reporter in Gaza, Israeli attacks have continued across the Gaza Strip, including an Israeli strike on a mosque in Gaza City that killed at least five civilians and injured 37 others as they were performing the Friday prayer.

Another Israeli strike killed two civilians and injured others in Gaza City’s an-Nasr street.

Two separate strikes on Gaza City’s Al-Tuffa'h neighborhood killed two people and injured others.

Meanwhile, medical sources reported that 21 citizens were martyred as a result of new and previous Israeli attacks in Khan Younus.

The Israeli army also bombed a tent sheltering a displaced family in the new Al-Yarmouk street in Gaza City, killing four people, including journalist Adam Abu Harbeed.

The bodies of four martyrs were evacuated from the area of west Rafa'h, which Israelis refer to it as Morag, in southern Gaza, according to medical sources.

More people were martyred or injured in Israeli attacks on aid seekers near US-backed distribution points in southern and central Gaza.

The Israeli army also launched attacks on other areas of the Gaza Strip last night and today, killing and wounding more civilians, including children and women.

Meanwhile, several Palestinians in Gaza were pronounced dead after they succumbed to injuries they sustained in recent attacks.

Gaza starvation death toll rises to 122 amid ongoing Israeli blockade

GAZA, July 25, 2025 (WAFA) –

he number of Palestinians who have died as a result of the ongoing Israeli war of starvation in the Gaza Strip has risen to 122, following the death of nine more people in the past 24 hours, according to medical sources.

Among the victims of the ongoing starvation crisis caused by the Israeli blockade are 83 children, with the latest casualty being a child who died early Friday due to hunger and severe malnutrition.

Current estimates indicate that 900,000 children in the besieged enclave are suffering from hunger, with 70,000 having reached the stage of acute malnutrition.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) previously warned that malnutrition rates among children under the age of five have doubled between March and June this year. The agency attributes this alarming rise to the ongoing Israeli blockade, which has severely limited access to food, medical supplies, and humanitarian aid.

Human rights organizations and aid groups have sounded the alarm over the humanitarian catastrophe unfolding in Gaza, urging immediate international intervention to end the blockade and deliver life-saving assistance to the population.

At least five killed, dozens injured in Israeli airstrike on school shelter in Gaza

GAZA, July 25, 2025 (WAFA) –

At least five Palestinians were killed and dozens more wounded, some critically, after Israeli warplanes struck a school sheltering displaced civilians in Gaza City on Friday.

According to local sources, the airstrike targeted Al-Qahira School, located on Al-Thawra Street in western Gaza City. The school was sheltering hundreds of displaced residents who had fled ongoing military operations in other parts of the Gaza Strip.

Initial reports indicate that among the injured are several women and children. The number of casualties is expected to rise as rescue efforts continue at the site.

The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 2023 has so far resulted in at least 59,587 documented Palestinian fatalities, with over 143,498 others injured.

Thousands of victims are feared trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to Israeli attacks.

Israel's genocidal attacks continue undeterred despite calls from the UN Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.

Photojournalist Adam Abu Harbid martyred in airstrike on his Family’s tent in Gaza

Friday 25-July-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

Palestinian photojournalist Adam Zakariya Abu Harbeed was martyred, and his wife and children were injured, by an Israeli genocidal air strike on his family’s tent in Al-Yarmouk area in central Gaza City on Thursday evening.

Medical sources reported that four Palestinians were martyred, including journalist Abu Harbid, as a result of the Israeli targeting of a displaced persons’ tent in the New Yarmouk Market in Gaza City.

The martyred photojournalist had previously worked for Al-Quds TV, and later Al-Quds Today TV. Before his martyrdom, he had been providing live broadcast services for several TV channels through a company in Gaza.

With Abu Harbeed’s martyrdom, the number of journalists martyred since the beginning of the genocide war on the Gaza Strip rises to 234.

In a statement, the Government Media Office (PGMO) in Gaza strongly condemned the systematic assassination of Palestinian journalists by the Israeli occupation army, and called on the International Federation of Journalists, the Federation of Arab Journalists, and all journalistic bodies worldwide to denounce these systematic crimes against journalists and media professionals in the Gaza Strip.

The Office held Israel, the US administration, and the countries complicit in the genocide, the United Kingdom, Germany, and France, fully responsible for these heinous, barbaric crimes.

It also called on the international community, international organizations, and all bodies concerned with journalism and media across the world to condemn Israel’s crimes, to deter it, and to pursue it in international courts for its ongoing crimes, and to bring the perpetrators to justice.

The PGMO further demanded serious and effective international pressure to halt the genocide, protect journalists and media workers in Gaza, and stop the crime of killing and assassinating them.

A new child starved to death in Gaza

Friday 25-July-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

A Palestinian child died on Thursday evening in the Gaza Strip as a result of the worsening hunger crisis, severe malnutrition, and lack of medical care amidst the ongoing Israeli blockade and the deteriorating humanitarian situation.

Al-Shifa Medical Hospital in Gaza City confirmed the martyrdom of the child Noor Riyadh Akhzeeq, who succumbed to hunger and malnutrition.

This latest death raises the total number of children who have died from malnutrition to over 76, while the total number of deaths due to the lack of food and medicine has reached 620 patients, according to official government data.

Meanwhile, hospitals and emergency rooms in Gaza are witnessing unprecedented numbers of starving people of all ages arriving in states of extreme exhaustion, alarming frailty, and complete weakness, their bodies emaciated to shocking levels by relentless hunger.

In this context, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza has warned of an escalating humanitarian catastrophe, stressing that famine has reached catastrophic levels, threatening the lives of more than two million people, as the Israeli blockade and prevention of food and medical aid continue for over 140 days.

Since the occupation closed Gaza’s crossings in early March, residents have faced a real wave of starvation due to harsh restrictions on the entry of food, humanitarian aid, fuel, and medicine; all part of the ongoing genocidal war now in its 21st month.

As time passes, Gaza’s population has exhausted all available food resources. Shops are empty, and finding a loaf of bread has become nearly impossible. The little that remains is sold at astronomical prices on the black market, making it inaccessible to most starving Palestinians.

Journalists and activists have documented harrowing scenes of children, women, and the elderly suffering from hunger and extreme thinness, with some collapsing on the streets amid the devastation. Public and human rights groups are increasingly demanding urgent international intervention to open the crossings and allow food to enter.

IOFs kill a Palestinian south of Al-Khalil, shoots and kidnap two others near Bait La'hm (Bethlehem)m

Friday 25-July-2025

Al-Khaleel (Hebron), (PIC)

Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) killed a young Palestinian man on Friday evening near the illegal “Shama” settlement, built on the lands of Al-Dthahiriya and Al-Samou’, south of Al-Khaleel (Hebron).

Local sources reported that the young man was shot dead by the Israeli occupation soldiers, who later declared the area a closed military zone and heavily deployed their forces.

In a separate incident, the IOFs opened fire on a young man in the village of Dar Salah, east of Bait La'hm (Bethlehem). According to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, a 25-year-old man was shot in the foot with live ammunition in the Wadi al-Hums area. He received first aid on the scene before being transferred to hospital for further treatment.

Additionally, IOFs arrested a young man from the town of Bait Fajjar, south of Bait La'hm (Bethlehem), claiming he was attempting to carry out a stabbing operation. The kidnapping coincided with gunfire by occupation soldiers at the western entrance of the town, further escalating tension in the area.

These incidents come amid a broader campaign of intensified violence by the IOF across the West Bank.

Palestinian teenager succumbs to wounds sustained by Israeli gunfire south of Al-Khaleel (Hebron)

Al-Khaleel (Hebron), July 25, 2025 (WAFA) –

A Palestinian teenager succumbed to critical wounds he sustained earlier this evening by Israeli occupation forces’ gunfire near the town of Al-Dthahiriya, south of Al-Khaleel (Hebron) in the southern occupied West Bank, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

The Ministry said it was informed by the General Authority of Civil Affairs of the killing of 19-year-old Wadi’ Mu'hammed 'Othman Samamrah, who was shot and critically wounded by Israeli soldiers near the town, and whose body remains withheld by the Israeli occupation forces.

WAFA correspondent reported that Israeli forces stormed the town with several military vehicles and raided the home of the slain teenager in Al-Baha area.

Earlier, security and local sources told WAFA that Israeli soldiers opened fire at Samamrah near the illegal Israeli colony of Shama, following an alleged stabbing attempt. He was detained despite his critical injuries.

The area was later declared a closed military zone as Israeli forces reinforced their presence.

According to WAFA correspondent, Wadi’ is the brother of Sanad, who was shot and killed by colonists in the same area on January 11, 2023. The occupation forces withheld Sanad’s body until April 3, 2023, when his family was finally able to bury him.

Alongside the ongoing genocidal war in the Gaza Strip, Israeli occupation forces and colonists have intensified their assaults across the West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem, leading to the killing of over 1,000 Palestinians, injuries to nearly 7,000, and the detention of more than 17,000 since October 7, 2023, according to official data.

A Palestinian man was killed on Friday night after being shot by Israeli occupation forces near the town of Bait Fajjar south of Bait La'hm (Bethlehem), according to the Ministry of Health.

The Ministry said it was informed by the General Authority for Civil Affairs of the killing of an unidentified man who was shot by Israeli forces near Bait Fajjar. His body remains withheld by the Israeli occupation forces.

Earlier, security sources told WAFA that Israeli forces opened fire on a man at the western entrance to Bait Fajjar, for allegedly carrying a knife, before detaining him. No further details were available at the time. Paramedics confirmed that Israeli forces completely sealed off the area, preventing them from accessing the scene and leaving them unable to determine whether the man was injured before his detention.

Alongside the ongoing genocidal war in the Gaza Strip, Israeli occupation forces and colonists have intensified their assaults across the West Bank, including Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), leading to the killing of over 1,000 Palestinians, injuries to nearly 7,000, and the detention of more than 17,000 since October 7, 2023, according to official data. Palestinians march in the West Bank, in support of Gaza met by PA crackdown

Friday 25-July-2025

WEST BANK, (PIC)

Cities across the occupied West Bank witnessed widespread demonstrations on Friday in support of Palestinians in Gaza, as anger grew over the ongoing Israeli genocide and starvation war. Marches took place following Friday prayers in Al-Khaleel, Nablus, and Ramallah, where protesters condemned the Israeli siege on Gaza and called for the urgent entry of humanitarian aid.

In Nablus, Palestinian Authority (PA) security forces violently dispersed a large demonstration, assaulting participants and making arrests. The crackdown sparked public outrage and condemnation, especially after tear gas grenades were fired and several protestors were beaten.

Hamas senior official Abdul Ra'hman Shadeed denounced the PA’s actions, calling the suppression of peaceful marches “support for the occupation’s aggression against Gaza.” He emphasized that solidarity with Gaza is a national and religious duty and urged the PA to end its repression of West Bank demonstrators.

Shadeed called for continued global mobilization through mass protests, sit-ins, and demonstrations in front of Israeli and US embassies until the siege on Gaza is lifted and the famine ends. The group stressed that global silence in the face of the Israeli starvation and extermination war in Gaza is unacceptable.

Colombian President orders halt on coal shipments to Israel

BOGOTÁ, July 25, 2025 (WAFA) –

Colombian President Gustavo Petro ordered today, Friday, the interception of any ship carrying coal shipments for Israel, affirming that his country will not be complicit in the genocide occurring in the Gaza Strip.

President Petro said in a post on X that he has issued an order to intercept any ship carrying coal to Israel, following the departure of a coal-loaded ship on Thursday from Ciénaga bound for Israel.

Petro described the shipment as a direct challenge to his government after Colombia banned coal exports to Israel last August in protest against Israeli crimes in the Gaza Strip.

More than 100 British MPs urge Keir Starmer to recognize State of Palestine

LONDON, July 25, 2025 (WAFA) -

More than 100 British members of parliament (MPs) have called on British Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, to immediately recognize the state of Palestine.

This came in a letter organized by Labour backbencher Sarah Champion, who is also the chair of Westminster's International Development Committee.

The letter said that the British recognition of Palestine would be particularly powerful given its role as the author of the Balfour Declaration and the former Mandatory Power in Palestine.

"Since 1980 we have backed a two-state solution. Such a recognition would give that position substance as well as living up to a historic responsibility we have to the people under that Mandate," read the letter.

Palestinian Foreign Minister urges Canada to recognize State of Palestine during call with Canadian counterpart

RAMALLAH, July 25, 2025 (WAFA) –

The Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Varsen Aghabekian Shaheen, discussed the latest political and humanitarian developments in the occupied Palestinian Territory with Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand.

During a telephone call on Friday, the two ministers also discussed ways to enhance international efforts to achieve a just and comprehensive peace in the region.

Minister Shaheen highlighted the deteriorating humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, stressing the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire and the unimpeded entry of humanitarian aid. She underscored the importance of ending the use of starvation as a weapon of war prohibited under international law.

Shaheen called on her Canadian counterpart to recognize the State of Palestine, describing it as a crucial step toward preserving the two-state solution and preventing its further erosion in light of Israel’s ongoing unilateral actions.

She also stressed the need for Canada to intervene and pressure Israel to release the withheld Palestinian clearance revenues, warning that the continued withholding of these funds has led to a severe financial crisis for the Palestinian Authority, threatening its ability to provide essential services to the Palestinian people, which could have grave consequences for the region’s future.

Shaheen further emphasized the need to put an end to colonists’ ongoing violence and terror acts against the Palestinian people, stressing the urgency of creating a credible and conducive political environment for the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state living in peace, security, and stability.

For her part, Foreign Minister Anand affirmed her intention to lead Canada’s delegation to the upcoming International Peace Conference, underscoring the importance of ensuring its success and taking concrete steps toward the implementation of the two-state solution.

Both ministers agreed to hold a bilateral meeting next week in New York, on the sidelines of the International Peace Conference, to continue their discussions and strengthen coordination between the two countries.

Palestinians demonstrate in Sakhneen and several towns in 1948 Palestinian occupied territories (Israel) condemn war and starvation in Gaza

SAKHNEEN, July 25, 2025 (WAFA) -

Thousands of Palestinians participated Friday evening in a demonstration in the Palestinian city of Sakhneen, in the 1948 territories (so-called Israel), condemning the starvation imposed by the Israeli occupation apartheid regime on the Gaza Strip, and demanding an end to the ongoing genocide that has plagued the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023.

Protest sit-ins were also organized in Yafa, Tayiba, and Kabul, within the 1948 occupied Palestinian territories (Israel).

In response, Israeli police deployed forces to Sakhneen, setting up their troops at the municipal square and establishing checkpoints at the city’s main junction in an attempt to hinder access to the demonstration.

The protest comes amid a systematic campaign of repression by Israeli police against the fundamental rights of Arab citizens in Israel, breaking the barrier of fear and suppression imposed since October 7, 2023.

Israeli authorities have imposed arbitrary restrictions on organizing demonstrations and protests, detaining dozens of activists under flimsy security pretexts that received judicial backing. Meanwhile, Jewish citizens have been allowed to demonstrate freely, including calls to end the war.

Severe security restrictions remain in place to prevent any expression of opinion by Palestinian citizens, in blatant violation of international human rights covenants.

Protests in US, Morocco condemn Israeli starvation policy and genocide against Gaza

Friday 25-July-2025

CHICAGO, (PIC)

Protests were organized in both Chicago (USA) and Marrakesh (Morocco) in condemnation of Israel’s policy of starvation and genocide against civilians in Gaza.

In Chicago, dozens gathered outside the Israeli consulate in Illinois on Friday, chanting against the ongoing massacres and blockade imposed on Gaza.

Protesters held signs denouncing the systematic starvation campaign and accused the Israeli government of committing crimes against humanity.

Organizers emphasized that the demonstration was part of a growing international movement demanding governments and institutions to act to stop the genocide.

Meanwhile, in Marrakesh, Morocco, hundreds joined a rally organized by the Moroccan Committee for the Support of the Nation’s Causes, a non-governmental group on Thursday evening.

Demonstrators carried images illustrating the extreme food shortages in Gaza and chanted slogans such as “Palestine is resisting” and “Gaza is being destroyed.”

The protest denounced Israel’s blockade and military actions that have devastated the coastal enclave for over 21 months.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel has waged a war of genocide against Gaza, supported unconditionally by the US. The Israeli genocidal war has resulted in over 203,000 Palestinians martyred or wounded, most of them children and women, with more than 9,000 still missing. The destruction has displaced hundreds of thousands, and a famine is spreading rapidly amid a total collapse of Gaza’s health system.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verbs "abduct" and "kidnap" than the verbs "detain" and "arrest," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.
